 Call for Nominations - NNVAWI Board of Directors

Are you interested in planning the future of NNVAWI and becoming more involved with this dynamic organization committed to eliminating violence by advancing nursing education, practice, research and policy? If so, please consider putting your name forward for election to a position on the NNVAWI Board of Directors.

A new Board of Directors will be elected at the Annual General Meeting, to be held Friday October 28, 2016, 7:30 - 9:00 AM.  Nominations are being taken for all board positions, including officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary), members-at-large (5) and student members (2).  More information about the NNVAWI and the responsibilities of the Board of Directors can be obtained from a review of the NNVAWI Bylaws.

To be nominated and to have your name added to the election ballot, please email the following information to Dr. Diane Bohn, Chair, Nominations Committee (bohnx002@umn.edu): 1) name, current position, contact information; 2) the position you are interested in on the Board; 3) a short bio (250 words) and 4) a short statement (500 words) outlining your interest in becoming a NNVAWI Board Member.

This first call for nominations will close August 26, 2016. The second call for nominations will open September 6, and close September 20, 2016. 

Nominate a Colleague for a NNVAWI Award by September 15, 2016

We know that you all have many outstanding NNVAWI colleagues. Consider nominating at least one of them for an NNVAWI Award of Excellence. If you have thought about making a nomination in the past, this is the year to just do it!

The process is very simple. These awards are a wonderful way to celebrate the important contributions our members are making to practice and policy, research, education and service to NNVAWI.
