NNVAWI Board of Directors-Current Slate of Nominees

Only one more week until the NNVAWI conference in beautiful Vancouver, B.C.

At the business meeting on Tuesday June 18, 2013 elections for the NNVAWI Board of Directors will be held.

The Current Slate of Nominees is as follows:

Vice President (1): Susan Jack, Tina Bloom

Secretary (1):       Camille Burnett

Treasurer (1):       Melissa Sutherland

Member-at-Large (5): Jessica Draughon, Nina Fredland, Victoria Smye, Janette Taylor, Denise Wilson

Student Representative (1): Heidi Gilroy

We would like to encourage all NNVAWI members to consider standing for election or nominating a colleague to be added to the above slate of candidates. If you are interested in being part of this dynamic Board, email Helene Berman hberman@uwo.ca

NNVAWI Updates

Our objective is to disseminate current information about NNVAWI activities and the clinical, research and educational accomplishments of our members. In our revised monthly newsletter, we will introduce you to NNVAWI Board Members as well as spotlight the work of different members. A section of each newsletter will be committed to highlighting the work of student members. Information about international initiatives, upcoming violence-related conferences and other activities will also be disseminated.

RENEW your NNVAWI Membership for 2013

Check out the updated NNVAWI website http://www.nnvawi.org. The Board is actively working to ensure that the website is revised to meet member needs.  You can now pay your annual NNVAWI membership fee on the website. Regular 2013 membership (expires December 31, 2013) is $100, a one-year special/student membership is only $25. All existing members are reminded to logon and renew their membership as soon as possible. Please also share information about NNVAWI with your colleagues and networks, encouraging them to join.
